IDrive uses 256-bit AES encryption to transfer your Username and Password when you enter the sign in credentials. Files/Folders in Trash will automatically get deleted after a period of 30 days. You can recover files that are accidentally deleted from your IDrive account by using Trash.
Edit the computer name if prompted and click Proceed. Click Add New Device when prompted to add as new device or replace it with existing computer. Sign in to IDrive using your credentials. Download and install IDrive on your computer. Just pushing the volume button in temporarily just turns off the volume but does not restart the system. In most BMWs you can also reboot it like a computer by holding the volume button in for 20-25 seconds continuously, which restarts the computer for the idrive system / navigation etc. Sign in to your IDrive account with your username and password.
